罗汉床，弥勒榻一般体形较大，又有无束腰和有束腰两种类型。有束腰且牙条中部较宽，曲线弧度较大的，俗称“罗汉肚皮”，故又称“罗汉床”。罗汉床一直是备受欢迎的实用家具。
罗汉床腿弯曲度大，兜转力，俗称“香蔗腿”。从床腿亦可区分出明做还是清做。清式鼓腿彭牙与明式的大挖缺做工，区别完全在于对罗汉床腿的理解，是有力而含蓄，还是有力而夸张?总体上，明式罗汉床挖缺腿足，给人有力度但十分含蓄，清式罗汉床的类似腿足，在力度上多了活泼，显得夸张了一些。
